Retractable Nozzle Vacuum Sealer with Gas Purge
Foot pedal–activated, gas-flush vacuum packaging. The AVN’s 1/4-inch-wide sealing element delivers a leak-proof seal on any kind and thickness of flexible bag — clear poly, foil (Mylar), mil-spec, and ESD bags.
With one touch of the pedal, the AVN pulls vacuum and then flushes the package with nitrogen or any other inert gas, displacing oxygen and moisture to protect the product and extend its life. The gas-flush and vacuum functions can also be switched off independently, so the same machine doubles as a straight impulse sealer.
Because the AVN is a retractable-nozzle (snorkel) design rather than a chamber machine, bag length is unlimited — only bag width matters. It also runs economical smooth-sided bags instead of the more expensive embossed bags consumer-style sealers require.
Clean-room compatible, the AVN is a standard choice for dry packaging applications: trays, tape and reel, tubes, and SMD shipping containers. Like every AmeriVacS sealer, it will not fire an impulse until the upper and lower jaws have completely met — protecting both the operator and the seal.
The AVN is hand-assembled at the AmeriVacS facility in San Diego, California, and can be custom-configured to meet CE certification requirements.

Questions buyers actually ask
What air compressor do I need to run an AVN?
The AVN requires an external compressed-air supply delivering roughly 5 CFM at 90 PSI. In practice, a shop compressor with at least a 15-gallon tank and 90 PSI capacity is sufficient. If your facility already has plumbed shop air, you’re set. If not — and you don’t want to add a compressor — look at the CAVN, which builds the compressor in.
Which seal length should I buy?
AmeriVacS model numbers denote the widest bag the machine can seal. Measure your widest bag: a 20-inch bag or smaller runs on the AVN-20, and so on up through the AVN-50. Bag length is unlimited on nozzle machines, so only width matters.
Can the AVN seal wet products or liquids?
No. Retractable-nozzle external sealers are designed for dry, particle-free products. For wet applications, a chamber machine is the right tool — see the AVC.
Does it work without gas?
Yes. The gas flush and the vacuum can each be switched off, so the AVN can run as vacuum-only or as a plain impulse sealer.
