AVP

Pneumatic Impulse Sealer

EXTERNAL AIR REQUIRED 20" · 25" · 30" · 35"

The AVP was designed for heavy-duty seal-only applications. Its most evident feature is its lack of visible controls: form follows function, leaving an expansive clear work surface to hold product ready to be sealed.

AVP-20 walkthrough — filmed at the AmeriVacS facility Archive footage from our 2011 dealer visit. AmeriVacS designs are largely unchanged, but specs, options, and terms may have — confirm current details in the product description and your quote.

Side-mounted heat and cool timers regulate the seal parameters critical to airtight, watertight seals, while the pneumatic drive supplies consistent jaw pressure no operator’s arm can match. The pressure bar is powder-coated aluminum on a powder-coated steel chassis.

Like the vacuum models, the AVP will not fire an impulse until the upper and lower jaws completely meet. At 29 lb it’s light enough to move around the facility while still being professional-grade equipment.

If you need bags closed — reliably, repeatably, all shift long — but don’t need air evacuated from them, this is the machine.

Where the AVP earns its keep

  • High-volume bag closing without vacuum
  • Watertight / airtight seals on poly and barrier bags
  • Stations where deck space for product matters

Questions buyers actually ask

When is a seal-only machine the right choice?

When the product doesn’t care about residual air — apparel, hardware, documents, pre-purged pouches — and what you need is a fast, consistent, strong closure. Pneumatic pressure produces a more uniform seal than hand-clamp sealers, which matters on thicker or laminated materials.

Can the AVP seal Mylar and mil-spec bags?

Yes — the impulse element and pneumatic pressure handle heavy barrier materials that defeat consumer-grade sealers.
