Foot pedal–activated vacuum packaging in AmeriVacS’s most popular seal length. The AVS combines the same build quality and design integrity as the gas-purge models, minus the gas-flush feature — and minus its cost.
If your product needs vacuum but not an inert-gas atmosphere, the AVS-20 is the straightforward answer. Same retractable-nozzle design, same 90-PSI pneumatic drive, same foot-pedal hands-free operation, same safety interlock that refuses to fire the impulse until the jaws have fully met.
Like all AmeriVacS external sealers, the AVS handles bags of any length — only width is limited — and runs economical smooth-sided bags. It’s clean-room compatible and at home everywhere from medical device manufacturing to electronics to aerospace.
The AVS is hand-assembled in San Diego, California, and is available in standard powder-coated steel or stainless cabinet configurations.

Questions buyers actually ask
AVS vs AVN — which one do I need?
One question decides it: does your product need an inert-gas (nitrogen) flush to displace oxygen? If yes, you need the AVN. If vacuum alone does the job, the AVS gives you the same machine quality for less.
Can I add gas purge to an AVS later?
Gas purge is a factory configuration, not a field retrofit. If there’s any chance you’ll need gas flush, buy the AVN up front.
What compressor does the AVS need?
The same as the AVN: external compressed air at roughly 5 CFM @ 90 PSI — a 15-gallon, 90-PSI shop compressor covers it. No compressor on site? The CAVS is the self-contained version of this machine.
