AmeriVacS sealer questions, answered

Standard nozzle sealers push the vacuum probe into the bag — if the seal fires while the nozzle is still inside, it seals the nozzle in. AmeriVacS machines use a retractable nozzle: the probe vacuums the bag, then pulls back fully behind the seal jaw before the impulse fires. The nozzle cannot be sealed into the bag.

Both use external compressed air. The AVN adds a gas-purge port so you can flush with nitrogen or another inert gas before sealing — useful for oxidation-sensitive products. If you don't need gas purge, the AVS does the same job at lower cost.

The "C" models have a built-in air compressor, so they don't require shop air. CAVN = built-in compressor + gas purge. CAVS = built-in compressor, vacuum only. They cost more upfront but eliminate the need for a separate compressed-air supply.

The external-air models (AVN, AVS) typically require 5 CFM at 90 PSI minimum. Actual requirements vary by seal length and cycle rate. See the Air Requirements page for a model-by-model breakdown, and confirm with us before ordering.

Models are available in 12", 18", 24", 30", 36", 42", and 50" seal lengths — not all lengths are available on every model. The AVC chamber sealer accommodates bags up to the chamber opening. Custom configurations are possible; call to discuss.

Most models are available in 110 V/single-phase and 220 V/single-phase configurations. Three-phase is available on some models. Specify voltage when requesting a quote — it affects lead time and price.

AmeriVacS backs the line with a 2-year limited warranty on electrical and mechanical components. Wear items — heating elements, Teflon tape, seal gaskets — are consumables and are not covered. Non-custom machines include a 1-week evaluation period.
